These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to everyone who uses SpazaTrack. Please read them carefully — they explain your rights, your responsibilities, and what you can expect from us.
1. Agreement to These Terms
By creating an account or using SpazaTrack (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and SpazaTrack.
2. About the Service
SpazaTrack is a financial tracking application designed for small spaza shops and informal traders in South Africa. It lets you record income and expenses, manage stock, and view reports so you can understand how your business is performing.
3. Your Account
You must provide accurate information when you create an account, and keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. SpazaTrack is not liable for any loss caused by someone else using your account because you shared your credentials or failed to keep them safe.
Guest mode lets you explore the app with sample data that lives only in your browser and is not saved to your account. To keep your own data, create a free account.
4. Free Plan & Trial
New accounts include a free 30-day trial of all features. During the trial you have full access to SpazaTrack Pro features, including unlimited stock. After the trial ends you automatically continue on the free plan.
The free plan includes a limited number of stock items (currently 20) and does not include the premium reporting features. We may change free-plan limits from time to time to keep the Service reliable and affordable.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
SpazaTrack Pro is billed at R49 per month (including VAT where applicable) and is processed securely by PayFast, our payment provider. When you subscribe, PayFast charges your chosen payment method and renews the subscription automatically each month until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your Profile page. When you cancel, you keep Pro features until the end of the current billing period, after which you automatically return to the free plan. Payments already processed are not refunded for the remainder of a period.
If a renewal payment fails, we may suspend your Pro features until the payment succeeds. You are responsible for making sure your payment method stays valid.
6. Your Data
You own the data you enter into the Service (your transactions, categories, and stock records). We do not sell your personal data, and we only collect and process it to provide and improve the Service (for example, to keep your records synced to your account).
You can delete your account at any time from your Profile page. When you do, your data is permanently removed from our systems. While your account is active we keep your data so you can access it across devices.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by:
- using it for any unlawful purpose or in violation of South African law;
- attempting to interfere with, overload, or gain unauthorised access to our systems;
- attempting to circumvent security, billing, or free-plan limits;
- uploading malicious software, or abusing the Service to store bulk or irrelevant data;
- impersonating another person or providing false information.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these rules, with or without notice, and may refuse future registration.
8. Data Accuracy
SpazaTrack helps you record and view your own information, but you are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. The Service is a bookkeeping tool, not an accountant or a financial adviser. Figures shown are based entirely on the data you provide and should be checked by you before making business decisions.
9. Availability & Support
We aim to keep the Service available, but it may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance, due to outages from our hosting or payment providers, or for reasons beyond our control. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We provide reasonable support through the Help page but do not guarantee response times.
10. Third-Party Services
The Service relies on trusted third parties, including PayFast (payment processing), Google (reCAPTCHA for security and analytics to help us understand usage), and our hosting provider. Their use of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. The Service may also link to external websites; we are not responsible for their content or practices.
11. Intellectual Property
The SpazaTrack name, logo, and software are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the Service. These terms do not give you any rights to SpazaTrack's intellectual property, and your data remains yours.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or that your data will never be lost; you are encouraged to keep your own records where it matters.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpazaTrack and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim arose.
14. Termination
You may stop using and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service or other users, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your data will be deleted in line with section 6.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where practical, notify you in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
16. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
